Verona, a 34-year-old was arrested for resistance, violence and injury to a public official in the Verona Porta Nuova train station.
In particular, last December 7, the young man, invited by railway police officers to follow them to the office because he was suspected of having committed, shortly before, some thefts on board a departing train, first refused and then lashed out at pushing them to the ground down the stairs and fleeing. The man, chased by some policemen who intervened to help, was stopped near the bus stop outside the station and accompanied to the office. Following more in-depth investigations, he was found still in possession of part of the stolen goods: a backpack with a portable personal computer inside which was subsequently returned to its legitimate owners, a couple of Spanish citizens. The man was also reported for theft and receiving stolen goods.
The policemen, pushed by the foreigner down the stairs, suffered trauma and bruises from the fall which healed in 10 days.
