Sassari, van runs away, stopped in the industrial area: 500kg of marijuana inside

Sassari, yesterday afternoon personnel from the Sassari Traffic Police Section, Olbia Detachment, during a checkpoint, proceeded to check a van with 5 men on board.
The vehicle, which did not stop when the officers stopped, was reached not far away, near a warehouse located in the industrial area of ​​the city.
On this occasion, one of the fugitives, who was still in the vehicle, was arrested, while the other four managed to escape and lose their tracks.
Inside the van, the police found a large quantity of narcotic substances, such as marijuana, freshly cut, estimated at over 500 kg.
Thanks to careful investigative activity, the police managed to trace the identity of one of the other fugitives, a man originally from the Nuoro area, who, after being traced near his home, was subjected to judicial police custody for danger of escape and contamination of evidence.
The arrested person and the arrested person were transferred, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Tempio Pausania, to the Sassari-Bancali prison.
The investigations continue under the strictest confidentiality.
