Udine: Police arrest Moroccan citizen for aggravated assault against his ex-partner.
The Udine State Police arrested a 49-year-old Moroccan citizen, seriously suspected of having caused multiple injuries with a cutting weapon to his ex-partner.
The Agents of the Flying Squad of the Udine Police Headquarters promptly rushed to this via Modica and found, on the landing of the house from which the call for help to NUE 112 had come, a Moroccan citizen in an evident state of alcoholic alteration. Immediately, the Agents made contact with the woman of Polish origins who had previously contacted NUE 112 reporting that she had been attacked with a cutting weapon by her ex-partner.
The latter, who corresponded to the Moroccan citizen still found on site, was placed in the company car and taken to these offices for the necessary checks regarding his possible responsibilities.
Meanwhile, 118 health personnel arrived on site to provide initial treatment to the woman, who was subsequently taken to the local hospital.
Fortunately, in the following hours it was ascertained that the wounds she had sustained were superficial and that she had suffered no fractures as a result of the attack she suffered.
Only the persuasion carried out during the night by the specialized personnel of the local Flying Squad convinced the woman to overcome her fear and shame for what she had suffered and to report what had happened to her at the hands of her ex-partner, with whom she had had a romantic relationship that lasted for many years and had recently ended.
The woman reported, in particular, that she had been attacked from behind by the Moroccan citizen, who herself had allowed access to the house to retrieve some of her tools.
In the scuffle, which was only interrupted thanks to the woman's prompt reaction and the intervention of her pet - a pit bull dog - she suffered stab wounds to her back, abdomen and right hand.
Following her resignation from the emergency room, the woman was brought back to her home by the Flying Squad Agents.
Given the serious evidence of criminality existing against him, the Moroccan citizen was therefore referred to the Judicial Authority under arrest for the personal injuries caused to the woman, aggravated by the use of the weapon, and transferred to the local prison to await of the validation judgment.
