Two "splits" in the same night, bricks against the windows and escape by bike: an arrest in Pescara.
On Wednesday night, in Pescara, as part of the Flying Squad's widespread territorial control services, a young man was arrested for the crime of aggravated theft after having committed two "splits" against as many shops.
The Operations Room of the Police Headquarters received a report of a young man who, inside the Riseis Park, “he was trying to break a shop window” and another report reporting the presence of “a young man who, nearby, was hitting another window”.
The young man, after having robbed the cash register of the first shop, disturbed by the screams of one of the citizens who reported the report, quickly left the second shop to get on a bike and escape.
The officers who arrived on site managed to identify him and stop him, not without difficulty. The young man, moreover, would be well known to the police force for his numerous specific precedents.
Even from the second shop, in reality, after a check by the owner, it was confirmed "the loss of some banknotes kept inside the cash register".
The young man, after being searched, he was found in possession of a sum of money consistent with what was stolen shortly before. That's why it was arrested for the crime of aggravated theft.
