Turin, Operation “Young Adults” by the State Police. Eleven Under Investigation
In the last few hours, the State Police, under the constant coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Turin and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Piedmont and Valle D'Aosta, he executed eleven precautionary measures issued against the same number of suspects, seriously suspected of the crimes of robbery, aggravated assault and improper use of payment instruments.
The investigative activity, conducted by the Flying Squad of the Turin Police Headquarters, It began following a violent attack, which began with an argument over trivial matters, committed on April 12, inside a Turin park, by a large group of young people against a boy who, due to the blows received, suffered a fractured nasal bone and a serious injury to his left eye, so much so that she subsequently underwent delicate surgery.
In reality, as later ascertained by investigators, this brutal attack was then followed by a robbery, committed by the same group, against another young man who, shortly afterwards, inside the same park, was beaten and robbed of his belongings, including the designer shoes he was wearing at the time.
The investigations, in addition to allowing the identification of all the suspects, allowed to establish how they were responsible, in various capacities, over time, for about ten predatory crimes and brutal aggressions, acting almost always in the evening/night time, to the detriment of victims, even minors, approached in the street with the excuse of asking for a cigarette or a few pennies and subsequently beaten. (even with the use of improper weapons, such as tasers and shards of glass) as well as robbed of their assets, including cash or debit cards, which were then used to make payments. In such behaviors the pack, strong in its intimidating power, demonstrated its supremacy in the "control of the territory", with bullying actions on the offended people, who could do nothing but suffer their actions.
Of the eleven investigated, four are young adults (against whom the precautionary measure of detention in prison was issued) and seven are minors (two recipients of the precautionary measure of prescription and five of the measure of permanence at home); all second-generation immigrants residing mainly in the peripheral areas of Turin.
