Trieste, prison riot due to heat and overcrowding.

Revolt by some of the prison inmates Ernesto Mari from Trieste due to the difficult conditions in the penitentiary due to hot and overcrowding.

A group of inmates would have barricaded themselves and the police in riot gear they would have launched tear gas.

After the clashes, different people, probably everyone detainees, they were taken away by ambulance. Furnishings and sheets were set on fire. 

About a hundred of the 260 prisoners locked up at Ernesto Mari participated in the revolt, a much higher number than the 150 it is supposed to host. After hours of tension, the protest ended.

"Yet another riot, this time in the Trieste prison. Poor prison conditions seem to be the cause". It's the comment of Aldo Di Giacomo general secretary of SPP, independent prison police union. «One revolt a day in the most absolute abandonment by the State. Inmates and policemen share the same fate. It is no longer possible to continue in this way - he concludes - the minister and government take responsibility for finding solutions".
