Trieste, feels ill in the station and falls to the ground. The police rescue him and activate 118
Trieste, in the early afternoon yesterday the officers of the Trieste Central Railway Police intervened to provide assistance to an Italian citizen in difficulty.
The forty-one year old felt ill in via Flavio Gioia, right in the area adjacent to the offices of the Trieste Railway Police Department. In fact, the personnel on duty noticed a man begin to tremble and suddenly collapse to the ground among the parked motorcycles, presumably in the throes of an epileptic seizure. He also suffered a head injury when he fell.
The Compartmental Operations Center was immediately activated which requested the intervention of 118 and, in the meantime, a patrol was sent to the scene.
Polfer officers provided first aid and checked the general conditions of the injured man who, as soon as the ambulance arrived, was taken to Cattinara Hospital for treatment.
The constant presence of Polfer personnel at the Central Station confirms that role of proximity to the needs and requirements of the citizen which constitutes one of the peculiar characteristics of this Specialty of the State Police.
