Brindisi: two precautionary measures carried out in Mesagne for robbery against Eurospin.

Yesterday afternoon, staff of State Police of the PS Commissariat of Mesagne, at the culmination of an intense and complex investigative activity, carried out aPersonal Precautionary Measurement Ordinance, issued on the same date by the GIP at the Court of Brindisi at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, towards a man and a woman, respectively of Precautionary Custody in Prison and Mandatory Residence, held responsible for the crimes of aggravated robbery and aiding and abetting.

Specifically, the evening of September 14, 2023 one was perpetrated rapina to the detriment of the supermarket Eurospin of Mesagne by a young man who, disguised as wearing a balaclava and armed with a gun, had obtained the sum of around 800 euros. The investigative activities started immediately continued uninterruptedly for a few days until the investigators managed to reconstruct all the movements and routes taken by the alleged robber to try to evade the investigations, even with the aid of a girl who had helped him by recovering the gun hidden in a plot during the escape. During the course of the investigation, the police also managed to identify and seize the clothing worn at the time of the robbery, which the man had disposed of, hiding them in some farms, while he was walking away to reach a car, not owned by him, parked at a considerable distance from the robbery site.

The results of the investigative activity of the judicial police of the PS Commissariat of Mesagne, in addition to the identification and complete identification of the alleged perpetrator of the Eurospin robbery and of the girl who had encouraged him to elude the investigations, provided fundamental investigative elements which allowed the staff of the Flying Squad of the Brindisi Police Headquarters and the Mesagne PS Commissariat to arrest them in flagrante delicto recipients of the aforementioned personal precautionary measure for aggravated robbery against another commercial activity in Brindisi.
