Threats and mistreatment against family members: the Rimini State Police arrests two people.

In the early morning of July 31, 2023, staff of Rimini State Police he arrested a 22 year old foreign citizen for the crime of mistreatment against family members or cohabitants e aggravated personal injury, reporting him in a state of freedom for the crime of serious and aggravated threats. At the same time he arrested another, also a foreigner 21's, for the crime of illegal possession of a common firearm. Specifically, at approximately 04:00, a call came to the Single Emergency Number 112 - NUE, from a woman who reported having been physically attacked and threatened with a gun by her ex-partner, the reason why she was going to the local hospital. The officers immediately reached the victim who reported having once again suffered mistreatment by her ex-boyfriend. In particular, the girl decided to accompany a friend to a hotel in Rivazzurra where her boyfriend was staying together with the young woman's ex-boyfriend, as the latter had previously promised her that he wanted to pay off an old debt of €500.00 that he had with her.

Once in the hotel room, the victim asked the ex to pay off his debt, but he attacked her by grabbing her by the neck and hitting her with slaps and kicks until the intervention of the other two friends who tried to separate them. In response, the man pulled a knife from his trouser pocket, grabbed a lock of hair and cut it. After which he went out onto the terrace where he had a gun handed over to him by another man who occupied the room next to her, with the adjoining balcony, with which he threatened the girl. The victim managed to escape together with her friends and went in the hospital from where asked for help from the police. Following the young woman's story, the officers went to the hotel where the events had occurred and managed to track down the two men, both the attacker and the owner of the gun. From the search carried out by the officers they found the illegally possessed weapon, for these reasons the two men were arrested. In particular, the girl's attacker was translated at the local prison while the holder of the weapon was subjected to the very direct rite. Please remember that the presumption of innocence applies towards suspected and accused persons.
