Thefts worth 450 thousand euros in the centre: two Serbian citizens aged 56 and 66 with criminal records arrested.
Milano, the State Police, as part of an activity coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano, performed a Milano and in Cesate (MI) the arrest of a crime suspect issued by the public prosecutors of the VII Department dependent on two Serbian citizens aged 56 and 66, both with police records, seriously suspected of being the authors of numerous thefts, committed between October and December 2023, in prestigious jewelers, large hotels and luxury shops located in the Milanese fashion district.
The investigation activity, conducted by the policemen of the Property Crimes Section of the Flying Squad, began after the theft committed last 27 October by two men who they had stolen a necklace worth 123 thousand euros at a jewelery shop in via Monte Napoleone. Two days later, on October 29, the same people have committed the theft of 10 bottles of wine with a total value of approximately 200 thousand euros at a prestigious hotel in via del Gesù.
The following November 5, the two men, together with a third person, carried out another theft, this time at the jewelery shop located inside a luxury hotel in via dei Giardini, removing a necklace whose price is around 100 thousand euros.
According to what was reconstructed by the agents, the last coup carried out by the criminal group would be the one committed on the eve of Sant'Ambrogio when, inside the department stores on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, A bottle of champagne worth 3.200 euros was stolen.
The investigative activity carried out by the Flying Squad currently in the preliminary investigation phase, made it possible to promptly reconstruct all the criminal episodes, to identify the perpetrators, all Serbian citizens, and to acquire numerous and serious indications of guilt against them, such as to lead to the issuance of measures restricting the liberty of two of them.
Two other Serbian citizens have currently been referred to the judicial authority in a state of freedom.
