Foggia, the villa seized from the boss named after the innocent victims of the mafia.
The former "Villa Lanza" requisitioned from F will be named after the building contractor Giovanni Panunzio and all the innocent victims of the mafiaToday at, in the “Posta Conca” area, to a clan leader of organized crime in Foggia and then transformed, for social reuse, into a housing community with training services for the socio-work inclusion of people with disabilities – “After us” project , with resources from the Development and Cohesion Fund 2007-2013 of the Puglia Region
The dedication ceremony of the confiscated property, now available to the Municipality of Foggia, will take place at 12 noon next Monday 30 May in the place where the same property is located: in the locality “Salice”, Podere 596, Posta Conca, Via delle Orchidee .
The ceremony
The parliamentary and institutional representatives of the territory were invited to the ceremony. For the National Agency for the Administration and Destination of Assets seized and confiscated from organized crime, there will be the Director, Prefect Bruno Corda. Some delegations of students from Foggia schools will also be present.
After the institutional greetings, on the occasion of the unveiling of the plaque naming the property, the president of the "Giovanni Panunzio" association, Dimitri Lioi, will speak.
The students of the “Carolina Poerio” Psychopedagogical High School Nicolò D'Elia, Paola Di Trani, Giorgio Ianiri, Antonia Padalino, Giulia Spatuzza, Elena Spera and Gaia Susca will read some passages taken from the book “6 November 1992. The courage of a man”, dedicated to the figure of Giovanni Panunzio, in the presence of the author, the journalist Michela Magnifico, who will conclude with a personal contribution.
The musical interlude will be offered by the students of the “U. Giordano” Giovanni and Matteo Cisternino
The event will end with a monologue on Giovanni Panunzio, played by the actor Stefano Corsi of the "Teatro della Polvere" of Foggia, written by Marcello Strinati, who tells in five minutes the life of the construction entrepreneur from Foggia before his brutal murder.
