Teramo, roadpol operation "alcohol & drugs" the traffic police against driving under the influence of alcohol

Teramo, From 16 to 22 June 2021 extensive checks on all Italian roads and motorways. The European Operation "ALCOHOL & DRUGS" is underway, the European initiative to raise awareness against driving under the influence of alcohol organized by ROADPOL - European Roads Policing Network.
From today Wednesday 16th to 22nd June 2021, coordinated by the Traffic Police Department of L'Aquila, they are also in place in the province of TERAMO Carpet checks involving Traffic Police patrols on all the roads and motorways of the country
On Sunday 20 June, in particular, the Traffic Police will be engaged in a "marathon" of checks that will be carried out over a 24-hour period.
The objective of the Operation against impaired driving due to the use of alcohol is to increase safety levels on the roads and reduce the number of victims from road accidents.
The initiative is part of the awareness-raising actions in compliance with the European Action Plan 2021-2030 with the aim of halving the number of deaths from road accidents and reducing the number of serious injuries in Europe and in the world.
