Teramo, thriving marijuana plantation discovered in Atri: a 37-year-old from Montesilvano arrested by the police
Teramo, yesterday morning the men of the Atri police station arrested a 37-year-old, caught in the act of committing the crime of producing and possessing a large quantity of marijuana for the purpose of dealing.
The young man, who lives and resides in Montesilvano, in just a few months, had set up a real cultivation of marijuana plants, set up in an abandoned farmhouse on the outskirts of Atri, away from prying eyes.
The man, already known to the men of the Atri police station, had been arrested last year for similar facts: he was managing a marijuana plantation in Morro d'Oro, at the time, no. 42 plants of the aforementioned narcotic substance, approximately one meter in height.
The young man had decided, after the conviction, to relaunch, increasing the production of the narcotic substance by also changing the municipality.
After some surveillance carried out by the men of the police station, the young man was surprised with 249 marijuana plants, with an average height of around 80 cm, most of which had already flowered, which were subjected to seizure together with the complex irrigation system and cultivation of substance. All the equipment for drying, weighing and packaging the substance was also acquired, which if placed on the market would have brought in between 50 and 70 thousand euros
The 37-year-old was arrested and held, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor of Turin, who is coordinating the investigations, in the offices of the police station for the validation hearing which will be held this morning.
