Teramo: he creates chaos in the emergency room, arrested by the police, he had already attacked a nurse.
The personnel of the Flying Squad of the Teramo Police Headquarters intervened at the Emergency Room of the “Mazzini” Hospital in Teramo, where the presence of a disturbing person who was becoming enraged was reported.
On site, the patrol officers, together with the police officers from the hospital police station, a garrison that has recently been reinforced by the Teramo Police Chief Carmine Soriente, immediately identified the troublesome individual, a 35-year-old Moroccan citizen.
The operators who intervened confirmed that it was the man who, during the previous night, again at the Emergency Room of the Teramo Hospital, had attacked a nurse, hitting him with a punch and causing injuries that were judged to heal in 3 days.
For these facts, the subject had already been reported at liberty to the judiciary for the crime of injury to healthcare personnel, introduced by recent legislation.
The aforementioned man appeared to the intervening officers in an agitated state and asserted, in a confused manner, that the medical staff had not given him the emergency room report from a previous visit carried out that morning, also forcefully and insistently demanding tests carried out during previous visits.
Despite the officers' attempts to calm him down, the man continued to insistently report that he had not been examined.
Therefore, the operators asked him to leave the Emergency Room, as he was causing an interruption of public service and there were numerous users waiting for appointments.
At this point, the man began to become even more enraged, waving his arms and pushing the police officers, who fell to the ground along with the foreign citizen, who engaged in a vigorous fight.
The officers proceeded with difficulty to secure the Moroccan citizen, using the special handcuffs provided, and accompanied him to the police station, where he was subjected to a personal search.
A police officer who intervened following the fight sought medical attention and was diagnosed with injuries that were deemed curable in seven days.
The Moroccan citizen was arrested in the act of committing the crimes of violence and resistance to a public official and aggravated assault and, by order of the Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Court of Teramo, was held in the holding cells of the local Police Headquarters pending the hearing to validate the arrest.
At the end of the hearing, the arrest was validated by the Judge, who ordered the man to be subject to the precautionary measure of reporting to the Judicial Police.
