Taranto: Minor Hiding Drugs Inside Flowerbeds in Public Gardens, Arrested by State Police

13 cellophane bags containing hashish were found, for a total gross weight of approximately 71 grams.

Taranto: minor hid drugs inside flowerbeds in public gardens, arrested by the State Police.

The State Police, in the course of their usual activity to combat drug dealing, arrested a 16-year-old from Taranto presumed responsible for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing.

The Hawks of the Flying Squad, while patrolling the Salinella district, noticed a young man making several laps of the area on his scooter and, suspicious of his unusual behaviour, decided to monitor his movements from afar.
The boy, after yet another ride on his motorcycle, stopped near the park and walked briskly towards some flowerbeds where he picked up a white plastic bag hidden among the bushes.

From the check carried out, the investigators found 13 cellophane bags containing hashish for a total gross weight of approximately 71 grams; 9 baking paper wrappers containing hashish for a total gross weight of approximately 99 grams; no. 2 blocks of hashish for a total gross weight of approximately 99 grams; 7 baking paper wrappers containing marijuana for a total gross weight of approximately 43 grams; inside the purse, the sum of money of almost 2 thousand euros in banknotes of various denominations and a smartphone were found.
The material found was seized and, after the documents were forwarded to the competent Judicial Authority, the minor was arrested.
