Taranto: An 80-year-old man was arrested for the attempted murder of his stepson during an argument. He stabbed him with a 16-centimeter knife.
The State Police arrested an 80-year-old man in record time because he was allegedly responsible for the crime of attempted murder of the stepson through the use of a switchblade.
The Flying Squad police officers intervened at a house in the city following a report received by 113 of a family dispute and a person stabbed.
118 personnel were also present on site who were providing first aid to a 52-year-old man, a person already known to the police for his past, who he had noticeable traces of blood on his left side.
The injured man told officers he was stabbed for no reason by the mother's second husband with a switchblade.
The man was urgently transported under code red to the SS. Annunziata.
After having collected the statements of the alleged perpetrator, also with serious criminal prejudices behind him, including an attempted murder which occurred in a similar manner in 2010 against his stepson, and that of the mother, who was also present in the house at the time of the incident, it would seem that the reason for the serious stabbing was due to a quarrel caused by trivial reasons.
