Ancona. Inconveniences in the hamlets, road obstructions, detachments of Christmas lights, signs and road signs. The Coc of the Municipality of Ancona was activated this morning at 8 am following theweather alarm launched due to the arrival of strong gusts of wind.
The municipal working group, made up of public works managers, Stefano Capannelli, and to the Green, Roberto Panariello together with the commander of the local police, Marco Ivano Caglioni and to the deputy Luca Martelli and to the technician Riccardo Borgognoni, began to collect critical issues and respond to emergencies as they arose. A request for help, that coming from the citizens, which began during the night and continued into the early hours of the morning. To preside over the Coc and in patrolling in the area the vice mayor and councilor for civil protection, Giovanni Zinni.
The local police operations center had started receiving reports already late yesterday afternoon, by having the teams intervene availability to resolve critical issues, mainly due to the fall of shrubs, even large ones. All the companies were assigned to emergency responsewho take care of the maintenance of the city greenery to quickly clear the roads had more critical obstructions so much so as to interrupt the normal flow of traffic.
No injuries to people were reported, but only to private goods, cars and real estate (not significant). The Christmas decorations were dismantled in various places and there were detachments of the lights in the Viale della Vittoria area and Piazza Roma. In this case to intervene it was the company that took care of their assembly.
For the road signs and billboards more generally, the interventions were addressed following the patrols, restoring their normal destination. The local police teams are continuing to check that traffic does not slow down further.
The emergency is throughout the Marche region so much so that the Ccs-Civil Protection of the Regionand was activated yesterday at 16.30pm requesting the collaboration of the Municipality of Ancona and participation in the first briefing.
'I thank the offices that promptly took action – says the councilor for Civil Protection, John Zinni -. The situation is under control and we are trying to respond promptly to all emergencies. The COC was activated immediately after the first signs of criticality.
Mayor, Daniele Silvetti, did not consider it necessary to close schools early given that the critical issues were not such as to require such a measure.
'An operational thank you – continues the councilor Zinni – to the team of volunteers (made up of 4 technicians) for the excellent work that was done, helping to make the municipal civil protection system efficient and up to the task of the situation.
