Sora (Frosinone), four arrests and expulsion from the regional territory

On the morning of November 13th, the Carabinieri of the Sora Company, together with colleagues from the State Police Station, They arrested 4 South American citizens.

They are three people originally from Chile, two 44-year-olds and a 43-year-old, and a 25-year-old Cuban citizen, all with criminal records for property crimes.

According to investigators, it is a gang of individuals dedicated to property crimes, such as house burglaries, who since the morning were wandering around the outer urban areas, ready to strike.They were intercepted by a patrol of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Carabinieri of Sora, following reports from some citizens who indicated the presence of a red SUV with four people on board who were acting suspicious.

They stopped near homes, they lingered for no reason in a certain area. A car not from the area, reported at the end in Via Agnone del Prato. Right there the Carabinieri sent by the Operations Center noticed them and approached, following them. They then told them to stop, also activating the "sirens and flashing lights" but they succeeded only after a chase, even if brief, during which they managed to come alongside them and persuade them not to continue. The Carabinieri got out and approached the car, a brand new Alfa Romeo Tonale, amaranth red, when checking the occupants the soldiers immediately noticed the presence, under the feet of the occupants, of both the front and rear passenger seats, gloves, hats and tools evidently usable for "breaking into" doors and windows. The check was thorough and a fight ensued. At that moment, a patrol from the Anti-Crime Squad of the Sora State Police Station arrived, requested during the chase as reinforcement by the operations center. When the colleagues from the State Police arrived, all four occupants of the Tonale were definitively blocked and, the most violent, already handcuffed.

The soldiers and one of the policemen suffered injuries.

The four, meanwhile, were taken to the Carabinieri Company Command on Via Barea and, after searches and investigations, were declared under arrest for resisting a public official and for receiving stolen goods and possession of burglary tools.

In fact, during the searches, a large screwdriver, a flashlight, wire cutters, three pairs of gloves and some hats were found and seized, not worn but kept together with the other material. In the trunk of the car were some small objects, probably costume jewelry, which strongly support the indication that they were home burglars, even if no break-ins had been reported in the previous hours: these were some earrings, some bracelets, a watch.. Probably material not considered particularly valuable, but whose owners will still be sought. In any case, the objects were seized and are still in the possession of the Carabinieri who, with the PM of the Cassino Prosecutor's Office, are trying to shed complete light on the affair.

From the investigations carried out, they appear to be domiciled in a degraded area of ​​Ostia, in Via dell'Idroscalo, a significant detail for the Carabinieri. In fact, on the evening of November 5th, a theft occurred in Via Trecce. The Carabinieri who intervened, thanks to the collaboration of the citizens, identified a Fiat Tipo car, also brand new. Some residents had noted the license plate through which the military were able to track the car. It was in Ostia in Via Idroscalo. The colleagues of the local command, not knowing in which of the degraded homes present in that place, the criminals could be found, carried out a flattening service, managing to block and arrest two people who had gone to get the car back. In that case too, a fight ensued, also in that case they were Chilean citizens.

On the morning of November 14, the four arrested, after spending the night in the security cells of the Carabinieri Companies of Frosinone and Pontecorvo, were taken to the Court of Cassino and heard for validation. The Judge validated the arrest and subjected the South American citizens to a ban on residing in the municipalities of the Lazio Region, pending the celebration of the trial.

The same people, already at the time of their arrest, had been notified of a mandatory exit order by the city of Sora for three years.

From the Carabinieri Company of Sora and the State Police Station of Sora, applause to the citizens who have allowed, with this and many other reports, over and over again to intercept ill-intentioned people and criminals who are lurking in the areas of these territories.
