Simaxis, Oristano. 13 kg of marijuana 3 over 800 grams of marijuana inflorescence extract in the home of a 53 year old. Arrested.

On Friday 12 April, as part of the intensification of territorial control ordered by the Provincial Command, the Carabinieri of the Oristano Company carried out specific police operations for the prevention and repression of illicit drug trafficking especially among young people, on the communication arteries of the capital and in the municipalities of the province, also focusing on some peripheral and little-frequented areas.

In Simaxis (OR), the soldiers of the Carabinieri have arrested, in flagrante delicto, for possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances (Art. 73 DPR 309/90) a local man, 53enne, unemployed, known to the police.

The operation was triggered as a result of autonomous investigative progressions by the Carabinieri which during one search of the house and the subject's appurtenances found him in possession of a large quantity of narcotic substance certainly ready to be dealt: 13 kilograms of marijuana, 832 grams of extract of marijuana inflorescences and various material suitable for cultivation, processing by pressing the extract, and packaging of the narcotic, which were immediately seized. The arrested person was subjected to arrest awaiting the immediate rite at the Court of Oristano.

The measure carried out is a pre-precautionary measure implemented on the initiative of the Judicial Police during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipient of it is a person subjected to investigations and, therefore, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.

The Carabinieri controls of the Oristano Provincial Command continue, especially for the prevention and repression of illicit drug trafficking also with the help of the dog units of the Carabinieri Cacciatori Squadron of Abbasanta (OR).
