The State Police of Imperia have investigated a man in a state of freedom for fraud, following the production of passes for access to the areas of the Sanremo Festival.
On the evening of Wednesday 2 February, during the controls set up in order to verify the regular influx of people who were authorized to access the "Green Carpet" area, established on the occasion of the 72nd edition of the Italian Song Festival, a man who presented a pass, which later turned out to be counterfeit, was identified by the staff of the Sanremo PS police station and the Digos.
In order to gain access, the same person showed a pass bearing the owner's personal details and effigy, the logo of the "Rai1" television broadcast and the QR-code. The pass, following investigations, turned out to have been hand-printed and invalid.
