Rome, caught by the police dealing in his slot room: 66-year-old repeat offender arrested in Torre Maura

Rome, As part of targeted checks of the territory carried out by the State Police for the prevention and repression of crimes relating to the dealing of narcotic substances, the investigators of the VI Casilino District, directed by Michele Peloso, noticed strange movements around a room slot machines whose managers, father and son, had been arrested for drug dealing exactly a month earlier.

After several stakeouts, the plainclothes policemen saw that the slots hall had the shutter half raised: there in front, inside a small car, was RM, a 66-year-old Roman manager of the business, who, after having been approached by a boy, he entered the premises with him and left shortly afterwards and returned to the car while the other walked away.

 

Having seen a similar scene repeat itself within a few minutes, the officers intervened, blocking the man in his car and then entering the betting shop with him: in the pocket of the jacket he was wearing there were 430 euros, a dose of cocaine and a piece of paper manuscript reporting figures attributable to drug dealing activity; furthermore, another 66 doses of cocaine were found hidden inside a coin change machine whose key was in the possession of the 26-year-old.

 

Finally, inside a box placed in the living room of his home, investigators found 1455 euros, a diary showing the alleged accounting of the illicit activity and material for packaging the doses: RM was arrested again for possession for the purposes of drug dealing , of narcotic substances, sentenced to 4 years and sanctioned with a fine of 60.000 euros.
