Rome, caught at the exit of the Grande Raccordo Anulare, without any license, with over 136 kg of fireworks. 43-year-old Roman reported by the State Police

On his way back from Naples, he hid fireworks in his car.
The agents of the State Police of the VI Casilino District “extinguished” the sale of illegal fireworks.
The police officers, engaged in routine territorial control activities, intercepted the vehicle at the exit of the Grande Raccordo Anulare. The driver was a forty-three-year-old Roman who was returning from Naples, where he had presumably loaded the material on board the car.

It was inside the passenger compartment that the police found – hidden under a blue sheet – over 136 kg of large fireworks and 36 batteries of fireworks of various brands, material that was immediately seized and made safe.

The driver, instead, after being transferred to the offices of the VI Casilino District for the routine checks, he was reported for transporting, without a license from the Authority, explosive materials and similar products other than those indicated by current legislation.

The police are currently investigating to identify the recipient of the seized goods.
The prevention of risks related to the sale and non-standard manufacturing of fireworks remains among the priorities of the security plan of the Rome police headquarters, which aims to intercept their trafficking from now on, also in view of the end-of-year holidays.
