Rome, armed robbery of a motorist and then to the detriment of another victim, who however calls the Police. In handcuffs a 33-year-old and a 35-year-old.
On a scooter they brandished a gun at the victims they had "aimed" at to threaten them and get them to hand over money. The weapon they used was a replica, but without a red cap and apparently identical to the one used by the police: a model that was not only easily modified to be suitable for shooting, but above all an effective intimidating tool sufficient to frighten the victims and make them fall into the trap. The pair of accomplices responsible for two violent episodes of robbery and attempted robbery committed, respectively, on August 13 and 15 against two people who were parked in their car were arrested.
It was the State Police officers of the V Prenestino District who executed against them the order of precautionary custody in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Rome following the investigations conducted by the State Police and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The first episode dates back to August 13th: a man, while he was chatting with a woman on board his vehicle near a parking lot in via Collatina, he had seen two people on a scooter approaching him. At that moment, the driver, after having pulled out and pointed a gun at him, had ordered him to hand over all the money in his possession. After the victim had handed over the 40 euros in cash he had with him, the two criminals, not satisfied with the stolen goods, had threatened her and forced her to follow them to an ATM to withdraw another 300 euros. Worried about what was happening, the man had meanwhile made the woman who was with him in the car get out and had gone to a bank where, however, he had been refused the withdrawal. An unexpected event that annoyed the two criminals, who thus, continuing to threaten him, had forced him to follow them to another bank where then the withdrawal had been successful and the victim had given them what was requested. At that point, then, the two accomplices had fled after having stolen the smartphone that he had with him.
The other episodeInstead, It happened just two days later. This time the pair of accomplices, again on board a scooter, with the same modus operandi, had attempted to rob a man on board his car in via Emilio Longoni. After they had pulled up alongside the car, they had pointed the gun at him, even ordering him to get out of the vehicle. The victim, however, foreseeing what would happen shortly thereafter, had refused and had fled, quickly putting the car into gear.. In the meantime, he had promptly alerted 1 1 2 (“Single Emergency Number”), providing the police headquarters operations room with a precise description of the two accomplices and their direction of escape.
The dynamics of both episodes were reconstructed by the police of the V Prenestino District, who, thanks to the analysis of the images extracted from the video surveillance system of the two banks and the descriptions provided by the victims, framed the two alleged robbers.
Following the execution of the order for the application of the precautionary measure, the two accomplices - a thirty-three year old and a thirty-five year old, both Romans - are now in prison, seriously suspected of the crime of aggravated robbery in conjunction with.
