Weekly report on the activity of the State Police in the railway sector in Rome and the province. They identified over 5.720 people, of which 210 "on board the train" and seven people were arrested for theft of passengers' luggage.

On June 17th and 19th, within of controls aimed at increasing the level of safety in the railway sector, personnel from the Rome Police Headquarters and the Railway Police, in the internal and external area of Rome Termini station, they arrested 4 people on serious suspicion of aggravated theft; In the first case the crime has consumed at Termini station where the police noticed two subjects who were wandering suspiciously among the numerous tourists present on the sidewalk on Via Giolitti e after a few minutes, one of the two was distracting a tourist, while the other took his bag and then tried to escape; the latter he was blocked by the operators and arrested.
In the second case, always at Termini station, the agents inside a commercial establishment surprised 3 people who, with the same modus operandi, they perpetrated thefts from travellers. They followed them and arrested them.
Yet, on the evening of June 20th, the personnel of the Compartmental Judicial Police Team arrested one person, having been responsible for the crime provided for by the art. 13 co. 13 Consolidated Immigration Act; in particular, on 19 June the subject had already been arrested for the crime of aggravated theft. Following the investigations carried out at the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters, the subject appeared to have already been expelled and, for this reason, was arrested as he did not comply with the order to leave the National Territory.
Always on the same evening, the staff of the Operations Department of Rome Termini, who intervened following the request of a train conductor, arrested a person seriously suspected of the crime of resisting and injuring a public official.
In particular, the patrol was sent to platform 8 of the railway station as the presence of an annoying and quarrelsome individual had been reported on board the train.
Upon the arrival of the convoy it was ascertained that the person reported had behaved aggressively and harassingly towards Trenitalia staff and other travellers, appearing uncooperative and violent, an attitude he also maintained towards the officers who intervened, who, in order to safeguard the safety of the travellers, they then arrested him.
