Rome, following an argument over money, chases him in a car and shoots him: 44-year-old arrested

State Police officers of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters From Rome, coordinated by the local Capitoline Public Prosecutor's Office, on the morning of Thursday 11 July, have a 44-year-old Albanian citizen subjected to house arrest, in execution of an order for the application of the precautionary measure of house arrest, issued as he is seriously suspected of the crime of attempted murder.

Il subject was intercepted, on Wednesday evening, from Police personnel of Maritime Border and Area of bari, who carried out his inspection, verifying that he was the target of tracing for the aforementioned measure, which was then notified to him on site.

The facts for which the measure was issued date back to 21 October 2023, when a Italian man introduced himself, aboard his car, to the emergency room of the “Sant'Andrea” hospital in danger of his life, as he was wounded with several gunshots to the chest and legs.

Immediate investigative activity undertaken by the Flying Squad, coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, consisting of the hearing of the victim and some witnesses present at the event, allowed us to outline completely the facts and obtain serious clues regarding the responsibility of the Albanian citizen, then arrested.

According to what has been ascertained, the two protagonists of the story, a little before the victim went to hospital, they had had an argument for financial reasons, dates of which a chase also ensued in their respective cars, in the Flaminio area. At the end of the chase, the Albanian citizen had fired several shots at the victim, drawing on it, while he was driving his vehicle, to the chest and legs, and then escape.

The dynamics of the event have been completely reconstructed by the Flying Squad, the Public Prosecutor in charge of the investigations requested the application of precautionary custody against the suspectoe the Judge for preliminary investigations issued the Order with which he applied the measure of house arrest, then carried out by personnel from the Maritime and Area Border Police of Bari and the Roman Flying Squad.
