Rimini: He tampers with an electronic bracelet and attacks the officers, arrested

The State Police arrested a foreign man for the crime of resisting and injuring a public official.

Specifically, the Operations Room of the Rimini Police Headquarters sent a patrol car to a house in the Marebello area as a report arrived of a tampering alarm on the electronic bracelet applied to a foreigner under house arrest, who in a state of great agitation tore it away.

The patrol car arrived on site to check whether the device had actually been tampered with and, at the sight of the police officers, the subject began to physically attack them with kicks and punches, throwing the bracelet at them which turned out to be cleanly cutThe subject was under house arrest for the crime of stalking of the partner.

The officers managed to immobilize him with great difficulty by applying safety handcuffs and accompanying him to the service car to then be taken to the Police Headquarters. During the judicial police activity, at the offices, he continued to have a rage, causing self-harm to his head and, in the presence of the operators, shouted death threats towards his ex-partner.

It was also ascertained that shortly before the intervention of the patrol car, the subject, still in a state of profound alteration, he had also made several calls to the police station declaring that he wanted to kill his partner.

For all the facts that happened, the man was arrested for the crimes of stalking, resisting and injuring a public official and attempted escape; held in the security cells awaiting the summary hearing. It is recalled that the presumption of innocence applies to the suspects and accused.
