The State Police has arrested a North African citizen for the crime of aggravated robbery.
Specifically, a car from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office went to the San Giuliano area where a citizen reported having given aid to a deaf-mute family who was asking for help.

At the same time, several calls were received to the emergency number reporting that they had seen a foreigner armed with a knife who was arguing with another individual and, upon seeing the patrol car that had arrived at that moment, they fled, getting rid of an object.

The police made contact with the victim who was deaf and dumb and, managing to communicate via cell phone, confirmed that he had suffered a robbery while he was busy changing the wheel of his car; the subject had removed a backpack containing personal effects and some cash from the car.

The victim, attempting to block him, noticed that the subject was pulling out a knife to escape and as he was walking away he threw his backpack on the ground and continued to flee; the chase continued for several meters until they were reached by the police and the subject was blocked and made safe.

The subject was arrested for the crime of aggravated robbery and transferred to the Rimini District Prison pending the validation hearing.
