She asked the Carabinieri for help because her husband, a 35 year old local man, in the throes of a nervous breakdown, had started breaking furniture and furnishings and threatening and attacking her in front of their minor daughter.

The woman, taking advantage of the temporary absence of her husband, who had left the house after the outburst, fearing that upon his return he might attack her again, grabbed the phone and, in tears, called for the intervention of the police.

When the soldiers from the Pietramelara Station arrived at that house, they found the woman and her daughter waiting for them, the latter still in tears and visibly shaken. While the victim was showing the patrol that intervened the damaged furniture and furnishings of the bedroom, the man returned home and, in an evident state of alteration due to alcohol consumption, even in front of the soldiers, threatened his wife again.

The 35-year-old, arrested, was taken to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

In filing the complaint, the woman also reported similar incidents that had occurred previously and had never been reported.
