Calvi Risorta: subjected to security measures, tries to attack the Carabinieri and health workers with a fire extinguisher and iron bar, 31-year-old blocked.

Despite having been subjected to the security measure at the REMS (residence for the execution of security measures) of Calvi Risorta, in the Caserta area, the 31-year-old from Benevento, with a criminal record for crimes against the person and property, this morning, after having refused to undergo compulsory medical treatment, with the sole purpose of arbitrarily leaving the facility, violently ordered the health workers to open the gates immediately.

When they refused, the man began to threaten them with death and rail against them, generating moments of fear and tension among those present.

One of the doctors, who had not yet entered the room, noticed the dangerous situation and immediately dialed the emergency number "112" on his smartphone, asking for help from the Operations Center of the Capua Company.

The carabinieri from the Calvi Risorta station, who arrived on site after a few minutes, surprised the 31-year-old in a strong state of agitation who, regardless of the invitation to calm down, grabbed a fire extinguisher and threatened to throw it at them.

Despite being promptly disarmed, the man managed to take possession of an iron bar which he began to swing dangerously towards those present.

With no small effort the military managed to block him and entrust him to the care of the healthcare personnel of the 118 service, who intervened at the rems.

After the formalities, he was reported in a state of freedom and hospitalized for compulsory health treatment at one of the hospitals in the province.

He will now also have to answer for threats to a public official, aggravated threats and carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.
