Pozzallo: attempts to sexually rape a girl, but she manages to escape. 20 year old arrested.

The city of Pozzallo was shaken yesterday by the news of an attack against a young woman from Pozzallo. The nightmare for the victim began at the first light of dawn when she, intent on crossing the playground that she insists is in the municipal area of ​​the seaside city, she was physically attacked by a young foreigner who attempted a violent sexual approach towards her.

The young woman, armed on her side with noble courage, reacted promptly to the attacker, managing to free herself from his grip. However, her legitimate survival instinct did not prevent her from suffering injuries in the fight the young woman suffered a broken nasal septum, which will force her to take medical rest for about 30 days, as diagnosed by the doctors at the Modica hospital.

The girl's cries, during the frenetic moments of the attack, attracted the attention of passers-by, who immediately notified the Pozzallo Police Force, allowing the intervention of the military on patrol duty in the area. Welcomed into the safe walls of the Carabinieri Station, the young woman was promptly rescued by the workers and transported by ambulance to Modica hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

From that moment the manhunt began, starting from the reconstruction of the attacker's movements, through viewing videos from video surveillance systems who insist on the scene of the criminal event, to then acquire all the necessary elements, on the basis of the various testimonies that were collected during the day, relating to the physical features of the man.

The perseverance of the military meant that all the information put into the system reduced the operational range of the investigators to a minimum, so much so that the manhunt ended with his discovery in the evening inside the municipal villa. The young man turned out to be a 20-year-old foreigner, irregular on Italian territory, homeless, arrived in the city of Pozzallo a few weeks ago, enough to make him believe he had the right to attack the serenity of a young girl.

The tracking of the man, in a short period of time, allowed the officers to proceed on their own initiative to arrest the subject, after having spoken with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ragusa. Therefore, after having completed the formalities, the recipient of the restrictive measure was accompanied to the Ragusa county jail.

This time it was the turn of the Pozzallo station to become the force's garrison as a lifeline for a defenseless young girl, who saw the request for help from the local military as the right resolution to her psychological distress. The excellent result is the result of a dedication to service that the soldiers of the Pozzallo station were able to demonstrate in practice, bringing yet another criminal to justice.
