Porto Azzurro: domestic violence, the alleged perpetrator arrested by the Carabinieri

As part of the activities carried out by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Livorno in protection of the so-called "weaker groups" of the population, both from the perspective of preventing the most widespread types of crime and from the perspective of repressing the same crimes, sometimes even occurring in home environment, the recent execution of a precautionary measure in prison, issued by the Court of Livorno against a man in his forties originally from Eastern Europe, by the military of the Porto Azzurro station.

The restrictive measure, which was carried out on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Livorno, is based on serious evidence against the man in relation to conduct of mistreatment of a family member. The investigations of the Elban police, culminating with the recent arrest, have reconstructed and highlighted a series of aggressive and sometimes violent attitudes held by the same towards the injured party and continued over time, until the umpteenth serious episode dating back to only a few days ago.

Therefore, from the detailed reconstruction of the facts that occurred over time, the Livorno Judicial Authority, considering the seriousness of the conduct detected and reported by the Carabinieri, had requested the issuing of an adequate precautionary measure against the suspected perpetrator, which would prevent its repetition.

At the end of the formalities carried out at the Porto Azzurro police offices, the man was accompanied to the Sughere prison in Livorno
