Pescara, two arrests for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing: the first man hid the drugs in the engine compartment.
During the daily anti-drug services, the Anti-Drug Section of the Flying Squad arrested a forty-year-old who came from Friuli Venezia Giulia to obtain supplies of narcotics. The targeted stalking and shadowing service carried out by the investigators, allowed the man to be stopped while driving his car, finding a package containing over 2 ounces of pure cocaine, cleverly hidden inside the engine compartment where it was secured with cable ties. The forty-year-old stopped in Montesilvano while heading towards the motorway, probably to return to his own region with the recently purchased substance, he was then arrested and taken to prison.
A few days earlier, the Anti-Drug Section had carried out another arrest for drug possession for drug dealing purposes in Montesilvano, catching a forty-nine year old of Apulian origins with specific precedents in the act of committing a crime, for whom house arrest was initially ordered. Subsequently, when validating the arrest, the GIP of Pescara, in light of the elements provided by the investigators and the high number of previous convictions already reported by the man, it considered this precautionary measure insufficient and decided to order precautionary custody in prison.
Therefore, yesterday, the Flying Squad personnel carried out the measurement, taking the suspect to prison.
