Pescara, execution of precautionary measure against two eighteen-year-olds for aggravated robbery against a minor

La  Pescara Mobile Squad, as part of its activity to combat predatory crimes related to the phenomenon of youth movida, has executed the precautionary measure of house arrest, requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Pescara and ordered by the GIP, against two eighteen-year-olds from Pescara seriously suspected of having perpetrated, in collaboration with a minor, a robbery to the detriment of a seventeen-year-old last August.

The investigations allowed to reconstruct the dynamics of the facts starting from the victim's statements and collecting precious elements thanks to the timely identification and acquisition of all potentially useful video surveillance systems between Pescara and Spoltore, which was supported by a targeted analysis of the data processed both through databases and social media, thus being able to provide the local Public Prosecutor's Office with a complete circumstantial framework.

According to the reconstruction carried out, the victim would have gone to the municipality of Spoltore to meet a girl of the same age but, at the place of the appointment, the two eighteen-year-olds and a third minor boy would have shown up, who would have immediately attacked the unfortunate man, beating him also with the use of their helmets in order to rob him, and then fleeing on board the scooters with which they had arrived and going to a nearby shopping center.

On that occasion, the attacked man managed to escape the beating but not before the three had torn a necklace with a pendant from his neck and had caused him injuries for which, subsequently, he was also hospitalized.

In light of the serious evidence collected by the investigators and the dangerous nature of the conduct of the suspects, characterised by the development of a complex plan, the use of extreme violence, moreover in a situation of numerical superiority, to the detriment of a minor victim, the GIP of Pescara deemed it necessary to issue today's precautionary measure to prevent the commission of further crimes of the same type.
