Pescara: an arrest in Collecorvino for mistreatment in the family and a complaint in Cepagatti for drug dealing

Yet another episode of violence which, thanks to a timely report to 112, it did not transform into something more serious and render harmless a man who had become violent and dangerous.

Once again, the domestic walls, instead of representing a place of harmony and safety, conceal sad stories of contrasts and disagreements that lead to incidents of threats and violence. A phone call to 112 raised the alarm. The episode dates back to the night of November 15th and involved a 28 year old boy, already known to the Police Forces, who had sick mother and sister attacked for trivial reasons; only the arrival of the Carabinieri prevented the man from harming himself.

A patrol of the Radiomobile Section of the Pescara Company, which intervened promptly, found itself in the street in front of a woman, in a very strong state of agitation, with severe crying fits, such as to border on a state of panic, since it had been subject to violent episodes by her cohabiting brother, while he was at home with his mother.

The woman declared to the military that her relative, in a serious state of restlessness, he had it grabbed by the hair and hit with a wooden stick inside their house. The same had managed to step away to reach the road and ask for help. Worried, she reported that the young man was still at home with his mother.

The personnel who intervened, having just entered the house, found the twenty-eight year old in an evident state of psychophysical alteration due to alcohol intake. The same still showed a aggressive attitude towards the elderly mother that being seriously ill she had not been able, like her daughter, to leave the house.

The elderly woman, crying, declared that at around 21,00 pm, while she was busy preparing dinner, due to the pathology she suffered he lost his balance and ended up on the floor. A few moments later, her son returned home and, finding her on the ground, in addition to scold her he hit her violently with kicks and punches since dinner wasn't ready yet.

Even in the presence of the military, the same he kept hitting his mother with a slap in the face breaking her glasses. At this point, given the gravity of what happened, without prejudice to the principle of innocence until a final sentence, the man was declared under arrest and, at the order of the PM on duty, transferred to the Pescara prison.

The intervention of the 118 paramedics was requested but the two women did not want to be reported.

In this circumstance the Carabinieri urge all vulnerable individuals who are victims of domestic violence to trust and rely on the legal institutions present everywhere in the territory. Getting rid of violence is possible, the first step is to become aware of violence and then ask for the right support from the police, to the Anti-Violence Centers, at the number 1522. It's important report incidents of violence, to physically and psychologically protect themselves and their children.

In the late evening of November 15, 2024, the Carabinieri of the Cepagatti Station, in Matilde Serao Street, during road traffic checks, have a forty-year-old arrested driving a Citroen car. At the time of the check, when the window was lowered, a noise came from inside the vehicle strong smell of burnt tobacco (typical of narcotics). At this point the military carried out a personal and vehicle searches during which they were 12,70 grams of hashish-type narcotic substance found, already divided into 4 (four) doses.

The man was reported in a state of freedom to the competent Judicial Authority for detention for the purposes of trafficking and the substance found subjected to seizure.
