Penne (Pescara), woman forced to live in inhumane conditions. Emergency removal for her daughter and son-in-law
The Carabinieri of the Penne Carabinieri Company have executed the emergency decree of the Public Prosecutor which orders the removal from the family home with a ban on approaching the injured party, regarding a married couple, he 31 years old, she 26 years old, investigated for the crime of mistreatment in the family.
The measure arises from the investigations started by the Carabinieri Station Command of Penne following the complaint-report of the victim, a 48-year-old woman living in a municipality in the Vestina area who, after months of abuse and harassment, decided to turn to the authorities, desperate for the situation in which she had, paradoxically, found herself also because she was forced to suffer harassment from her twenty-six-year-old daughter and her thirty-one-year-old son-in-law, whom the woman had hosted in her home.
The request for hospitality from the girl and her son-in-law, who already owned a house in Rome, had seemed strange from the start, but the desire to accommodate her daughter's requests and to have her little grandson close by had convinced the woman.
The cohabitation began last April, but after the first few weeks, apparently calm, the relationship took a terrible turn: frequent insults, constant harassment, threats and physical violence directed by the daughter and son-in-law effectively forced the woman to feel forced to move into the dilapidated cellar of the house where she had no toilets, no kitchen and was forced to sleep on an old and dirty sofa, in the company of her three dogs.
Thanks to the solidarity of some friends, the woman was able to take a shower sometimes, in what is her home, in fact, she was only subjected to continuous harassment.
The findings that emerged left no room for doubt as to the seriousness of the spouses' responsibilities and induced the Public Prosecutor in charge of the proceedings to issue a reasoned decree ordering their removal from the family home with a ban on approaching the injured party, thus restoring to the woman the much-desired freedom to lead a peaceful and, above all, dignified life.
The measure was carried out by the military in recent days. In addition to the restrictive measure, the couple is now facing criminal proceedings for the crime of mistreatment in the family.
