Carabinieri operation between Marche and Calabria: 4 arrests for attempted extortion and receiving stolen goods

Last night, at San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), Monteprandone (AP) and cropani (CZ), i Carabinieri of the Company of Alba Adriatica, assisted in the executive phase by military personnel from the Companies of San Benedetto Del Tronto (AP), Sellia Marina (CZ) and the canine unit of the Carabinieri Canine Unit of Chieti, have executed a custodial order issued by the GIP of the Court of Teramo against 4 individuals deemed to be responsible for attempted aggravated extortion and receiving stolen goods.

The restrictive measure arises from an investigative activity started at the beginning of this month by the personnel of the Operational and Mobile Radio Unit of the Company from Alba Adriatica and the Station Carabinieri of Bellante following theescape from house arrest of a man who was serving his sentence in his home in Bellante (YOU).

The investigations of Carabinieri coordinated and directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Teramo, the outcome of which was fully shared by the GIP of the Court of Teramo, have allowed us to ascertain that theescaped had fled as he feared for his safety following a serious death threats to his and his family's address by those arrested.

Le threats they were the consequence of the subtraction by man of a car of illicit origin (compendium of misappropriation) that had been given to him entrusted by the suspects to alter the chassis number and license plate, paying his fee in advance compensation of 1.500 euros.
