Naples, anti-mafia operation: 30 people investigated for criminal association arrested.

The Naples State Police on behalf of the Public Prosecutor of Naples executed a custody order issued by the GIP at the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against 30 suspects considered to be seriously suspected, in various capacities, of criminal conspiracy aimed at drug trafficking, carrying and possession of weapons gunfire municipalities, aggravated personal injury, extortion, single episodes of detention and drug dealing and access undue use of devices suitable for communication by prisoners.

The measure was issued following the investigations conducted by the flying squad policemen, thanks also to the support of the Secondigliano and Poggioreale Police Stations, the Avellino Flying Squad and the Anzio Police Station, following the gunshot wounding of a man on September 20, 2021. During the investigation it is it emerged that the criminal event was to be identified in a response to another ambush, or injuring another individual , happened on September 2, 2021, for which two men are seriously suspected.

From the investigative activity it was possible to highlight that these criminal events they find origin in the climate of strong tension recorded within the “Stadera group”, offshoot of the Contini Clan, within which a split developed.

From investigative insights has emerged in fact the desire of one of the suspects to create an autonomous criminal group that is it the supply of narcotic substances, depending on the economic convenience of the moment, both from channels referable to criminal contexts in the Scampia area and in those of the area of ​​the “Cunnolo” Poggioreale district.

At the same time the team referable to the same further to the retail sale of the narcotic, carried out in the “citadel” area between municipality of Casoria (Naples) and Naples, it also has supplied narcotic substances to "drug-dealing squares" settled in Ponticelli and Secondigliano neighborhoods, in the city of Avellino and also the one managed by the suspect and another suspect inside the Salerno prison where he was being held at the time.

On occasions in which the managers of the drug dealing activities did not honor the accumulated debts, extortionate conduct was carried out.

Emerged, furthermore, that the group has weapons available and has demonstrated a willingness to acquire more and more in order to be ready for possible armed clashes with other criminal factions.

During the investigative activity, finally, circumstantial evidence was acquired against two other subjects for the gunshot wound which occurred on 17 December 2019 and to be framed within the context of the conflict taking place at the time, among the groups of drug dealers “yard” and those of the “Bronx district”.

Pre-trial detention in prison was ordered for 13 of the suspects, for the the remaining 17 are banned from residing in the Campania region.
