As part of the crime prevention activity carried out daily with the patrolling and control of the territory by State Police operators, the Police Commissioner of the Province of Monza and Brianza has strengthened this activity, both by providing extraordinary control services of the territory, both through the adoption of prevention measures.

The increase and intensification of controls allows the meshes of the "sieve" to be narrowed through which people who commit crimes or engage in deviant and dangerous behavior are identified. In the reference period, the control action on the territory has produced in terms of combating irregular immigration to the repatriation to their countries of origin of 36 irregular foreigners and 27 placements at the Repatriation Permanence Centers, awaiting identification for definitive removal from the national territory, therefore, 63 illegal aliens and criminals were removed from the province of Monza and Brianza.

From February 2024, always within the scope of the intensification of prevention activities, in compliance with the assessments that emerged at the Committee for Public Order and Safety, chaired by the Prefect of Monza and Brianza, from February 202 to today, the Police Commissioner of the Province of Monza and Brianza, Salvatore Barilaro, ha arranged targeted prevention and extraordinary control services in the area in certain areas of the city centre of Monza, to combat the phenomenon of drug dealing, predatory crimes and widespread crime in general.

The services were carried out by crews of the State Police of the Monza and Brianza Police Headquarters and the Crime Prevention Department of Milano, with the collaboration of the Monza Local Police, dividing the territory into different areas so as to guarantee an efficient and widespread presence of law enforcement in the Monza area.

During the investigation, 3 people were arrested, of which one Croatian citizen because he was hit by a European Arrest Warrant, an Italian citizen for tax evasion and a Peruvian citizen for violating the ban on returning to the national territory without authorization.

Following the entry into force of the Caivano decree, particular attention was paid to minors over 14 years of age against whom 6 monitoring measures were issued.

Recently, towards three minors were issued oral warningsin as following an episode that occurred in Giussano, in June, in which the Carabinieri intervened, two Italian citizens aged 14 and 15, residents in the municipalities of Desio and Seregno, without previous records, and a 16-year-old Egyptian citizen, resident in Desio with a history of crimes against property, they committed the crime of robbery against a peer and caused him injuries that could be healed in 10 days.

Another 14 year old boy, in Verano Brianza, in the place of residence, he was stopped late at night for a check and was found in possession of a switchblade approximately 19 cm long and narcotic substance for personal use. Similar measure was also ordered against a 16-year-old Senegalese citizen, resident in Lentate sul Seveso, investigated by the Seveso Carabinieri for aggravated robbery with the use of stinging spray and personal injuries in connection and of an Italian citizen also 14 years old, resident in Carate Brianza, who together with two non-attributable companions, have responsible for a series of robberies and attempted robberies near the S. Stanislao Kostkae oratory and in an Aldi supermarket in Verano.

With the measure of the Foglio di via Obligatorio, 20 people were removed from the municipalities in which they committed crimes, of which 9 foreign, considered dangerous, due to the specific conduct carried out in the municipalities of the province.

Particular attention is always paid by the Police Commissioner towards vulnerable victims, which is why 73 warnings have been issued since the beginning of the year, measures with which guarantees rapid protection to victims of domestic violence and persecutory acts and anticipated with respect to the definition of the criminal proceedings.

Between these we note the warning against a 35-year-old Italian citizen, resident in Muggiò, reported by his victim for insistent persecutory conduct, following the violation of which, it was arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to prison to be subsequently arrested recipient of the electronic anti-stalking bracelet measurement.
