Milano, very violent attack on the Arco della Pace on 26 July: those responsible have been found

The State Police, as part of an activity coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano, carried out six coercive personal precautionary measures against as many young people, residing in the provinces of Milano, Varese, Monza and Piacenza, with the collaboration of the respective Mobile Teams.

The group was reached by the order issued by the investigating judge Milano at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano, Adjunct Proc. Dr. Laura PEDIO and Sub. Proc. Dr. Francesca CRUPI.
The six are in addition to two minors, already affected by a restrictive measure issued by the Juvenile Court of Milano – Office of the Judge for Preliminary Investigations, at the request of the Chief Prosecutor Dr. Ciro CASCONE.

The investigation was undertaken following a very violent attack that occurred on the night of July 26th Milano in Piazza Sempione, when the gang, made up of eight people, six of whom were barely adults, with a banal pretext attacked a group of young people who were spending the evening near the Arco della Pace.

Among these, the nineteen-year-old MM who, hit by a violent punch in the face, was transported to hospital lifeless and where he will remain in a pharmacological coma for several weeks before being discharged, suffering serious injuries and a prognosis of more than 40 days.

The violent and disproportionate aggressive action therefore caused panic among the crowd with a disorderly escape from the scene.

In the previous hours, the group had witnessed the filming of a video of a young emerging trapper in the Milanese nightlife area.

Through the numerous services carried out in the following days, concentrated during the night, it was possible to trace the origin of some groups of frequent visitors to the area.

At the same time, the vision of the video surveillance cameras, combined with the in-depth analysis on social platforms, allowed the 5th Section of the Flying Squad to reconstruct in detail the dynamics of the group aggression characterized, while distinguishing the individual responsibilities, from the typical methods of "herd", symptomatic of a total disregard for the most basic values ​​of the physical safety and dignity of others.
