Milano: threatens two pharmacists with scissors and then steals the money from the tills. 37 year old arrested by the police.

The State Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Milano, executed a precautionary custody order issued, at the request of the prosecutors of the VII Department, against a thirty-seven-year-old Moroccan citizen, held responsible of five robberies committed against pharmacies and commercial establishments in Milan in December last year.

The policemen of the "Hawks" of the Sixth Section of the Flying Squad of Milano they had already arrested him red-handed on 19 December 2023 while he was committing a robbery against a beauty and wellness products shop in Corso Lodi: on that occasion, after having gone around the counter, the 37-year-old had threatened the two employees with scissors before taking the money contained in the boxes and being promptly arrested by the State Police.

Following the investigations carried out, the Flying Squad officers ascertained that the man was responsible for other previous robberies committed with a similar modus operandi, characterized by similar techniques of misrepresentation, methods of threats, use of weapons and the geographical proximity of the places where the events took place. It was therefore possible to provide an evidentiary framework on the basis of which the GIP issued a new restrictive measure - notified to the suspect at the Como prison where he is being held for another case - with which he is charged with the additional 5 robberies, all committed between 4 December 2023 and 18 December 2023.

The proceeding is still in the preliminary investigation phase and the responsibility of the suspect will be definitively ascertained only with an irrevocable conviction.
