Milano, state police, police station of Busto Arsizio and Gallarate, two women arrested for robbery

Milano, The State Police of Busto Arsizio, yesterday afternoon, in Viale Duca d'Aosta arrested two Roma women, aged 31 and 21 respectively, intending to take possession of goods stolen from points of sale in the area, the activity was abruptly interrupted when they were stopped by the State Police at the exit of a supermarket on Viale Duca D'Aosta in Busto Arsizio.

Around 16.30pm the two, one of whom was pushing a stroller with a child just over a year old, entered the supermarket and then paid for goods worth a few euros. Once past the checkouts, the security guard asked them to show the contents of the bags under the stroller, without being listened to. The women, on the contrary, implemented an escape strategy: while the youngest walked away to put her son in the car parked nearby, the second attacked the security guard and was joined shortly afterwards by her accomplice to receive support. Having heard the sirens of the patrols of the Busto Arsizio State Police Commissariat arriving, she quickly retraced her steps, getting into her car and making a hasty escape at high speed and with sudden manoeuvres, followed by one of the two cars and subsequently intercepted by a patrol car from the Gallarate police station that came to help. Thus, while the thirty-one-year-old was blocked during the attack on the security guard, the second was caught when she was trying to hide the car in a side street. Having been made to get out of the car, the woman, hands up, advised that her son was on board her vehicle. The hasty escape and the sudden maneuvers frightened the child who, immediately picked up by an Officer, was reassured by returning to smile.

A check of the vehicle made it possible to find numerous items of clothing in the trunk with labels from a well-known fashion store, worth over 350 euros, while goods for a value of approximately 130 euros.

We then traced the origin of the items hidden in the car, stolen shortly before from a fashion store in Somma Lombardo and promptly returned. The two women and the child were accompanied to the offices of the Busto Arsizio police station where, in agreement with the PM on duty and having heard that of the Minors of Milano, the two women were arrested. While waiting for the validation hearing, the thirty-one-year-old, with several previous cases for crimes against her assets, was taken to prison while the twenty-one-year-old, given the need to look after her young son, was placed under house arrest.

Due to the attack, the security guard was forced to seek emergency care and was later discharged with a 5-day prognosis for various injuries to his limbs.
