Milano, Ghisa arrested: he canceled the fines and pocketed the money

The man in charge of the injunctions office of the local police is in handcuffs Milano. The arrest was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Milano, together with the local police of Milano on a precautionary custody order under house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court of Milanoagainst an officer of the same Milanese Local Police.

The man is held responsible for unauthorized access to the computer system, computer fraud against the Public Administration and material falsehood committed by the public official.

The provision is the result of the investigative development of the investigation conventionally called "Ghisa Scura" in which, on 26 July 2019, a custodial measure was carried out in prison against three women (1 agent and 2 administrative operators), belonging to the Command of the Milanese cast iron suspects of similar crimes. The investigations have reconstructed the modus operandi of today's suspect who, by altering the data on the information system for managing traffic violations, allowed compliant citizens to formally regularize their debt position deriving from prefectural injunctions issued following the rejection of appeals for traffic violations, in exchange for the payment in cash of an amount significantly lower than the amount due which was withheld by the public official and never paid to the municipal body. During this latest investigative reconstruction, the fraudulent definition of 71 prefectural injunction orders was documented, thus causing treasury damage to the municipal body estimated at over 12 thousand euros and the involvement of 33 citizens was ascertained (common citizens, doctors, artisans, restaurateurs etc.), reported for complicity in the fraud.
