Milano, bag shop robbery in the after-work area: the State Police arrests a 52-year-old

Milano, Wednesday afternoon, in Corso Genova, a Milano,The State Police arrested a 52-year-old Italian man with a criminal record for the crime of aggravated robbery.

The man, disguised as wearing a mask, sunglasses and hood, went into a bag shop and, after threatening the shop assistant armed with a dog swatter, proceeded to
appropriate amount of cash in the cash register, for a total of 200 euros.

After a few minutes he escaped from the business and was promptly blocked outside by the "Falchi" motorcyclist agents of the Flying Squad of Milano, engaged in daily services
of fighting widespread crime on the streets of Milan, while trying to wear a jacket tied at the waist, with the clear intention of deflecting any investigations into his involvement in the
robbery.

The investigations of the Flying Squad officers ascertained that the man had carried out the robbery immediately after having carried out his normal working day as a cable maintenance technician and
wiring, employee of a private company, inside a city hotel.

The analysis of video surveillance images, carried out by the Statistics and Criminal Analysis Office of the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters of Milano, raised the possibility that
the 52-year-old may be the perpetrator of a further nine robberies, committed against other shops and pharmacies, from December 2020 to today.

The element that makes the investigators lean towards this hypothesis of seriality is, in addition to the methods of misrepresentation and use of the gun by the robber, also the use, in
all episodes, of a black bag inside which the stolen proceeds were placed.

The man was thus arrested, and the stolen proceeds were returned when a complaint was made to the store employee.
