Messina: attacks partner by hitting her with a knife, 45-year-old arrested by Carabinieri.

A 45-year-old was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Company (ME), as he was accused of the crimes of "attempted murder", "ill-treatment of family members" and "aggravated personal injury", for having hit his partner with a knife, 30 years old.

The events occurred yesterday morning in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, when the Carabinieri, following a report received by 112, intervened in an apartment in the centre, where a family argument had been reported.

In the indicated place, the soldiers of the Carabinieri had already found the 118 health workers, who had intervened to help a woman who, shortly before, at the height of an argument, had been attacked and hit with a knife by her partner, who had removed immediately after committing the act.

The Carabinieri therefore immediately started searching for the man, who, found a few moments later near the house, still with blood on his shoes, was blocked and taken to the barracks.
The necessary investigations were then carried out to reconstruct what happened by the Carabinieri, who, during the inspection carried out in the house, found and seized a kitchen knife, soaked in traces of blood, used by the attacker.

The 30-year-old victim was transported and treated at the Milazzo hospital and fortunately suffered minor injuries.

The arrested person, however, was restricted to the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

All activities were coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, directed by the Prosecutor Dr. Giuseppe Verzera, particularly attentive to always giving prompt and effective responses to crimes against vulnerable victims.
