«It is a victory for the State community and also for all women, after 100 years we can also represent the top management of our university, and I would like this to be a result also for our colleagues, researchers and students. Let us know that this past that we have inherited has boundaries that we will rewrite and that they will be different". These are the words of Brambilla after his election. With her, a woman was elected as rector in three of the eight Milanese universities: Donatella Sciuto at the Polytechnic, Giovanna Iannantuoni – president of the Crui – at Bicocca.
