4 people under investigation, 2.649 people checked, 274 patrols engaged in the station, 65 services on board the train, with 140 trains attended, 16 high fines: this is the balance of the activity of the Railway Police Department for the Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo, in the last week.
In Avezzano, Posto Polfer personnel reported an Italian citizen who was wandering around in the square in front of the train station with a metal crowbar approximately 43 cm long. The man was near the kiosk bar in the aforementioned square probably with the intention of forcing the entrance door. He was reported for unjustified possession of an object capable of offending which was seized from him.
The agents of the Polfer Section of Foligno have reported a 30-year-old Nigerian citizen, resident in Foligno, for the crime of refusal to provide personal details and false certifications to a Public Official. During the surveillance services arranged within the Foligno railway station, Polfer staff intervened on board a train coming from Terni for a traveler without a ticket who refused to provide his personal details to the train conductor. At the request of the Polfer officers, the man provided his personal details but from the checks carried out to identify the foreigner, his name was found to be false as was his residence. In addition to the complaint, he was fined €100.00 for not having purchased the ticket worth €2.
Also in Foligno, the Railway Police, during targeted railway surveillance services, reported a Tunisian citizen during police checks because he did not comply with the invitation to present himself at the immigration office of the Perugia Police Headquarters to regularize the its position on the national territory and reported an Italian citizen for non-compliance with the obligations of special surveillance, since he was traveling on board a regional train without the required authorisations. A fine of Euro 400 was also applied to the same for violation of the anti-covid regulations.
