Lecco: the Police Commissioner issues 2 "DASPO WILLY" for the duration of 2 years and 1 year respectively

Lecco: the Police Commissioner issues 2 "DASPO WILLY" for the duration of 2 years and 1 year respectively.

In recent days, the Police Commissioner of Lecco Ottavio Aragona issued a ban on access to public establishments, the "Daspo Willy", for a period of 2 years and 1 year respectively, against two young people aged between 22 and 24 years.

The provisions of Daspo Urbano, drawn up and notified by the policemen of the Anti-Crime Division of the local Police Headquarters, provide for the prohibition of access to specifically identified public establishments for the administration of meals and drinks, including alcoholic beverages of any strength, as well as milk, sweets, including pastry and ice cream products, and gastronomy products - in particular restaurants, bars, cafes, ice cream parlors, pastry shops and similar establishments present in Lecco city and were issued in relation to the fact that the aforementioned subjects, in the recent past , were highlighted for having engaged in excesses or for having engaged in illicit conduct while they were present at some public establishments in Lecco, as they usually assumed provocative attitudes with the managers and/or with the patrons present which, in some cases, gave rise to events disturbing public order and safety such as, for example, last November 9th near a premises located in the P.zza V° Alpini area of ​​Lecco.

At that moment, the two subjects committed violent conduct towards the owner of the aforementioned public establishment and of various patrons of the same venue, causing injuries and swelling to their bodies. Personnel from the Lecco State Police - Flying Squad intervened on site and proceeded in accordance with the law and the events in question took place in the presence of other people, among whom there were also some children and they presumably began for trivial reasons, in as one of the two young people had been asked by the owner of the premises to maintain decent behaviour, a request to which he reacted as reported above.

The “Daspo Willy” provides that, with respect to persons reported in the last 3 years for crimes committed during disturbances in public establishments or in places of public entertainment or in the immediate vicinity of the same, if the conduct could result in a danger to safety, the Police Commissioner may prohibit their access to these areas.

Violation of the DACUR (Prohibition of access to urban areas) constitutes a crime, punishable by imprisonment from one to three years and a fine of 10.000 to 24.000 euros.
