Licata, causes accident and flees: 22-year-old from Licata identified and reported by the police

Licata, in Licata, a Fiat 600 car was traveling along the local Via Palma when, having reached Via Dora, it was violently hit on the rear side by a white Smart vehicle which was traveling along the aforementioned road in the same direction.

The driver of the Smart car that had caused the collision, immediately after the collision, instead of stopping and helping the woman, he ran away, while the driver of the Fiat 600 came transported by 118 ambulance at the local hospital for the necessary treatment.

Following the events briefly narrated above, the driver who was the victim of the road accident went to the Licata police station to report what had happened, providing the model and color of the vehicle that got away and indicating two witnesses to the episode.

The search for the vehicle was immediately activated using the vision of the video surveillance systems present in the immediate vicinity of the place in question, and the details acquired such as the partial license plate of the escaped vehicle, its colors and details.

The search for the vehicle continued with positive results as, in recent days, it was reached to the complete identification of the person driving the Smart: a boy from Licata class 99 who immediately showed repentance regarding what happened, expressing regret for his behavior.

In light of the above, the Licata police station reported the boy to the AG because he was responsible of escape and failure to help crimes.
