Latina: special surveillance for a 27-year-old responsible for family abuse and robbery.

The Court of Rome – Specialized Prevention Measures Section, upon proposal of Police Commissioner of Latina, issued the measure of Special Surveillance of the State Police against a young Setino, SS born in 1996, currently detained at the Rebibbia prison. In particular the young man already recipient of the oral warning prevention measure in the year 2019, over the years he had become responsible for the family abuse crimes against his mother, brother and ex-partner and in December 2021 he was arrested flagrantly for mistreatment in the family against his mother and subjected to measure of house arrest. During the expiation of the measure, in October 2022 armed with a pistol and with a distorted face, he became responsible for a robbery at a commercial establishment located in Sezze and had been arrested red-handed for aggravated robbery, escape and resisting a public official.

The Police Commissioner of Latina, in the proposal for the application of the measure, had outlined the framework of the measure social danger and its current relevance, in consideration of the persistence of antisocial behavior carried out by man over the years. In light of the persistence of highly antisocial conduct and the current social dangerousness of the proposed party and taking into account the high seriousness in relation to the threats, physical and psychological violence inflicted over time on one's family members and/or the circumstance that the social dangerousness is made even more evident by the state of dependence on alcohol and the intake of narcotic substances, the Court of Rome - Specialized Prevention Measures Section, sharing the proposal formulated by the Police Headquarters, applied to the man the special surveillance prevention measure, for a period of two years with the obligation to reside in the Municipality of Sezze and with ban on approaching places usually frequented by victims.
