Lagonegro (Potenza), 31-year-old lying in wait at night outside his ex-partner's house. Arrested by the Carabinieri

Over the past weekend, The Carabinieri of the Lagonegro Company arrested a 31-year-old Romanian national for violating the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching his ex-partner.
A few months ago the woman, a compatriot of the same age, she had reported to the military that she was the victim of physical and psychological abuse by her partner. Following the complaint and the investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lagonegro, the man had been subjected to the precautionary measure of prohibiting him from approaching the injured party.

Despite the imposed obligation, the other night the Carabinieri, during a patrol, noticed the young man lying in wait near his ex-partner's home, in violation of the precautionary measure in place.

Blocked, he was declared under arrest and, at the end of the formal procedures, placed under house arrest. The GIP of the Lagonegro Court subsequently validated the arrest, ordering the suspect to report to the Judicial Police.

The constant presence of the Carabinieri on the territory, even during the night hours, and the deep knowledge of the social context in which they operate have allowed, once again, a decisive intervention for the protection of the victim, preventing potential acts of violence.
